Annual Meeting: Sunday March 30 1:00 PM

The fifth annual meeting of the Buckingham Pond Conservancy will be held SUNDAY, March 30, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. At our formation In 2009, 35 people came together to found the Buckingham Pond Conservancy. Since then we've grown in size and continue to coordinate clean ups, host social events, find grant opportunities, build relationships with City staff, sample the pond's water (3 years going on 4), installed storm drain medallions, and so much more.

Each year we come together just one time to celebrate our successes and revisit our priorities.  Be a part of it! Come to the:

The Stop signs are In!

The Buckingham Pond Conservancy advocated and the City of Albany responded by installing STOP signs at Colonial Ave. at the playground.
I am sure everyone is aware of how precarious it was to walk children (and adults) to the playground. Now, traffic will have to come to a complete stop in all directions, giving piece of mind to everyone who uses park facilities. I am sure that parents of little children are breathing a sigh of relief.
We especially want to thank Bill Trudeau, Traffic Coordinator for "making this happen".
Send your thanks to wtrudeau@albany-ny.org.
Thanks Bill,

Thank you!

Thanks to everyone who came out on a beautiful day to participate in our annual Spring Cleanup.
We had over 35 volunteers who helped get the playground and pond perimeter ready for visitors this spring.

Thanks again!
